HS Disease State Awareness Congress Roadshow
Evoking empathy for patients suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa at dermatology congresses across Europe.
A global biopharmaceutical company wanted to captivate and move healthcare professionals at dermatology conferences. Based on our client’s recent disease state awareness campaign, we built the “Spikey Chair” model—a big, comfortable-looking armchair blemished by giant metal spikes from all angles. The spikes are meant to visualize how patients with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) can feel every day, just sitting on a comfortable chair.
Since being used at EADV in 2023, this chair has been shipped around Europe for different dermatology congresses and even appeared at our client’s head offices for Hidradenitis Suppurativa week.
The chair has been a significant talking point for congress, delegates, and UCB staff. Its success is evident through its widespread and ongoing delivery across Europe, including Lyon, Madrid, Brussels, Slough, and Manchester.
